Research lines in Heritage Science
• Digital Archaeology, with particular attention to Open Data, Deep Learning, and Big Data issues in archaeology;
• Urban archaeology with particular attention to preventive archaeology, archaeological GIS, and predictive modelling;
• Archaeological Method and Theory, with particular attention to archaeological excavation methods and digital documentation of archaeological record;
• Medieval, Post-Medieval and Contemporary archaeology.

Charges/Duties
• 2017-19: WP3 Leader in the University of Pisa CERTOSA Project, which is aimed at the archaeological investigation of the Charterhouse of Calci (PI);
• 2016-19: Coordinator (PI Letizia Gualandi) of ArchAIDE project (www.archaide.eu), a three-year RIA project, approved by EC under call H2020-REFLECTIVE-6-2015, grant agreement no. 693548. ArchAIDE aims to create a new system for the automatic recognition of archaeological pottery;
• Deputy Director of MAPPA Lab;
• Member of CISUP.
